西門大飯店 Ximen Hotel - Taipei

The WiFi worked well, but the room had cigarette smell and mosquitoes.

The twin room was cosy and recently renovated, with a laptop and a writing table.

I liked good service.

the hotel had perfect and nice location right by train station, ximending shops and the convenience store and other shopping stores. they gave me triple room with the picture shown on website, the balcony, as example.

The location is convenient for exploring Taipei.

Upon entering my room, I was greeted by an unpleasant odor that lingered throughout my stay. The aging decor was a stark contrast to the modern images showcased online. Security was a concern as there was no exclusive access control, allowing anyone to enter the hotel floors easily.

It had favourable location close to Ximending.

I have just returned from a really great stay in this nice budget hotel, newly decorated and extremely spacious rooms. The location is great and absolutely perfect, 0.5 miles from the airport. There is Tiantian Limei Restaurant within walking distance of the venue, had dinner there. The restaurant is small, with nice staff.

It is a comfortable hotel with a superb location near the metro and ample sockets for your electronics, and free hot drinks are available in the lobby!

Family Room spacious enough to accommodate 4 sleeping adults. Free bottled water, coffee and tea bags and kettle to boil water. Walking distance to train stations and Ximending shopping area. Very near to airport transfer bus-stops. Suitable for budget-minded. Considered good enough if you just need a decent place to shower and sleep.

Toilet/Bathroom needs some repairs. No wardrobe in the room.

The strategic location was near Ximending. Good service, even though a few employees were not very friendly. The rooms were recently refurbished with a balcony, enjoyed it.

Had a decent stay for 4 nights. The spacious twin room was well furnished, but the bathroom could use some updates. A good option for short stays.

Good location

This is a motel rather than a hotel and the price they charged is higher than the hotel price next door which it include breakfast. Not value for money.

Good location, downstairs have a 24hrs mos burger and opposite has a shop selling all kinds of daily needs at cheaper price. The rest not so bad, basically just a place to sleep only.

This is my first time having a small and yet not cold fridge in hotel. Daytime water might cut off without notice and poor bathroom accessories fitted in very bad conditions.

I stayed in a Beautiful Family Room for one night. The room was comfortable, but it felt a bit small for a family. On the bright side, it had a nice view despite looking at another building. The bathroom was decent and clean, a plus. Just be ready for some noise from neighboring rooms and maybe check the AC settings before crashing for the night. It was a decent stay and the location near Ximending is super convenient!

The only thing good about that dungeon was that it was close to Ximending and to the Ximen station.

First and foremost, not sure how it could get a ridiculously high rating from other travelers. Do they work for that run down hostel? Asked for non smoking room, was given a room (room 307) which smelled like an old school Chinese gambling den. For 2 nights, had to endure carpets and walls that smelled of tobacco. Toilets were old and the room had no windows.

Awesome location to train station, easy to get around the city & plenty of restaurants nearby. Comfortable and very clean room.
